Last night, the Delaware Democratic Party selected Stephanie Hansen to be its nominee for the upcoming Special Election in the 10th Senatorial District. This race is to fill the soon to be vacant Senate Seat currently held by Lieutenant Governor-Elect Bethany Hall-Long.
Dear Democrats:
As a result of the election of Lieutenant Governor-elect Bethany Hall-Long, who currently holds the 10th District Senate seat, there is an expected special election to fill her senatorial position. To date, the Department of Elections has not set the date of the special election. Nevertheless, time is of the essence to select, support and elect our Democratic candidate. In accordance with Delaware law, the Democratic Party nominates the candidate. There is no primary election.
