Foundation created in memory of Beau Biden

Today, June 2nd, Hallie Biden, widow of former Attorney General Beau Biden, announced the founding of the Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children. The foundation will work to continue the work done by Biden during his tenure as Delaware’s Attorney General, where he put an emphasis on bringing child predators to justice. He detailed the importance of safeguarding Delaware children in a 2014 opinion piece (http://www.delawareonline.com/story/opinion/contributors/2014/07/26/shining-brighter-light-child-sexual-abuse-delaware/13217015/) writing:

We have seen the progress that can be made when society commits to shining a bright light on a crime like domestic violence, and we are seeing the beginning of what can be accomplished if we continue shining that bright light on child abuse.”
