"Yesterday’s inauguration marks a momentous occasion in American history. With the swearing-in of the first woman to serve as Vice President, we have proclaimed to little girls, particularly those of color, that their American dream knows no bounds. They too can one day ascend to the highest offices in the land or wherever their ambitions may lead them. Glass ceilings have been broken.

While facing the many challenges of COVID, racism and inequality, President Biden will lead with the kind of dignity and conviction that America needs right now.
