New Castle County Democratic Committee Holds Candidate Forum for Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner

NEWARK- Tonight the New Castle County Subdivision of the Delaware Democratic Party held its first Candidate Forum of 2016. Democratic candidates for Lieutenant Governor and Insurance Commissioner gathered at the Local 74 Executive Banquet and Conference Center on Rt. 896 in Newark to discuss the issues to the nearly 200 local Democrats in attendance. Questions were submitted by audience members and covered a variety of issues – from education to Delaware’s economy.

New Castle County Chair Betsy Maron stated, “The New Castle County Committee was extremely pleased with the turnout of registered voters at this event. We were pleased by the many thoughtful questions from the audience and the quality of the candidates.”

Participating candidates were as follows:

 Lt. Governor:

Brad Eaby, Greg Fuller, Bethany Hall-Long, Kathy McGuiness, Ciro Poppiti, and Sherry Dorsey Walker

Insurance Commissioner:

Paul Gallagher, Trinidad Navarro, and Karen Weldin Stewart
