Delaware Democratic Party Issues Statement on Mayor Purzycki’s Reelection Announcement

New Castle, DE - Delaware Democratic Party Chair Betsy Maron has released the following statement responding to Mike Purzycki’s announcement that he will not seek a third term as Wilmington Mayor.

“I want to thank Mayor Mike Purzycki for his service to the City of Wilmington. Mayor Purzycki’s steadfast leadership in Wilmington helped shepherd the city into a bold new era. During his tenure, the city became a more vibrant, more secure, and more prosperous place for Wilmingtonians to call home.

“We look forward to working with Mayor Purzycki as he concludes his term and wish him and his family well in his retirement from public service.”
