BRIDGEVILLE, DE- On Wednesday evening, Sussex County Democrats held a public forum to hear from candidates interested in running to fill Senator Adams's seat. Six candidates presented their case to voters, and took questions from the audience before members of the local Democratic committees in the 19th district caucused to select their candidate: Eddy Parker, a retired state trooper and county employee from Bridgeville. A special election is planned for August 1st. Senate District 19 includes Georgetown, Milton, South Milford, Ellendale, Bridgeville, Greenwood, and North Seaford.
